Insight Manager (qual)

We are looking for a dynamic Insight Manager to join our team in Taipei. 

The Insight Manager reports to one of the teams of Senior Research Managers. The key role of the Insight Manager is to manage quantitative, qualitative and community research projects, with the supervision of senior researchers.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the project owner for several smaller tactical projects which are taking place simultaneously, with little direction from seniors.  
  • Play a supporting role on larger strategic projects. 
  • Lead on deciding the best approach and ideas for capturing the data needed. 
  • Can design most types of Activities with limited direction from seniors. 
  • Be a confident moderator.  
  • Capable of going beyond taking what people say at face value, laddering to understand the unspoken and emotional aspects, which sit deeper. 
  • Able to evaluate the status of survey fieldwork and make decisions facilitating fieldwork progress (e.g., regarding modification of quotas). 
  • Take the lead in designing an analysis plan, which is used to brief others (e.g., PST, external moderator, etc.). 
  • Create reports that are commercially savvy, which include growing experience with the client / category / sector. 
  • Can interpret a client's information needs and are able to translate them into overall project design and deciding on the right Activities and Solutions to use.
  • Able to spot opportunities to incorporate solutions beyond primary research (e.g., Culture Trends, crowdsourcing through eÿeka, etc.). 
  • Involved in the preparation of client workshops / brainstorms and attend in a supportive role. 
  • Can build good working relationships with clients and have learnt to flex style as needed. 
  • Involved in the presenting of NTMY meetings with clients. 
  • Build the client network outside of the insight team. 
  • Aware of their commercial skillset.
  • Experienced with the customer relationship platforms needed to manage the accounts (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365). 
  • Has business financial acumen and take ownership of the contribution to the financials on a project. 
  • Involved in the brainstorming for and (co-)writing of proposals for simple projects. 
  • Support the development of junior consultants through on-the-job coaching. 

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in a related field (e.g., social science, psychology, business, or economics). 
  • At least 5 years of professional research experience. 
  • Demonstrated success through the impactful research. 
  • Familiarity with tools such as data analysis software.
  • Ability to connect research insights to broader organizational goals.
